Gaudium Real Estate and Kloek Wonen met Zorg have signed a long-term lease agreement for the (re)development of three partially listed buildings on the former Elias Beeckman Barracks site in Ede. The agreement covers the lease of 60 units, comprising 44 care homes and 16 care apartments.
The Elias Beeckman Barracks, located on the eastern side of Ede, near the Veluwe, is undergoing its final phase of redevelopment. Gaudium Real Estate became the owner of the northern part of the complex in 2022. In recent years, other sections of the listed buildings have been transformed by third parties into apartments and ground-level homes. Gaudium’s development marks the completion of this beautiful, green, and spacious urban project.
Gaudium plans to start construction later this year, with the aim of delivering the three buildings to Kloek Wonen met Zorg by mid-2026. The project specifically targets seniors requiring intensive care, such as those living with dementia. Prospective residents can already register their interest with Kloek, and more information is available on their website: www.kloek.nu.
